At the heart of a diverse and leafy urban space, family homes, student housing and research studios will exist side by side in a stimulating environment.
Family and social housing
125 to 155 family homes will be developed by the Brussels Region as part of the Usquare.brussels project.
Social housing will also be developed just opposite the site of the old gendarmerie barracks.
Student accommodation
Some 600 university accommodation units for students, researchers and visiting professors are planned at the heart of the barracks site.
One of Usquare.brussels’s ambitions is to become an international centre offering a warm welcome and information to the undergraduates, PhD students and international researchers who will be accommodated on the site.
