rom 2 October to 2 November 2025, Brussels will host Materia, organised by SAU and co-produced by the Pavillon de l’Arsenal, Les Grands Ateliers, amàco and the Compagnons du Devoir, at UR Square. The exhibition highlights 40 contemporary projects in stone, earth and plant fibres, showcasing the aesthetic qualities, technical performances and environmental benefits of bio- and geo-sourced materials. Materia follows the Fibra Architectures (2019) and TerraFibra (2021) exhibitions, aiming to shed light on exemplary rehabilitation projects and foster the debate on post-carbon architecture. Co-curators: Dominique Gauzin-Müller, Yann Le Bihan, Louise Lemoine, Zoé Tric In collaboration with ULB, VUB and Wonder Meï asbl, SAU offers a diverse programme: opening event, conferences, debates, workshops for children and adults, and film screenings.
