From 6 February 2019 to 8 April 2019, the draft Territorial Development Plan (PAD-RPA) for the Usquare.brussels site is the subject of a public consultation by perspective.brussels in the municipalities of Ixelles and Etterbeek.
The purpose of the Territorial Development Plan (PAD-RPA) is to open up the site, which is currently cut off from the road network, and develop a diverse district structured around a huge esplanade and a new park. The draft plan, which is sensitive to the architectural heritage and qualitatively ambitious, provides for the construction of family and student housing and the introduction of university facilities and local services for all.
From 6 February 2019 to 8 April 2019, local residents and others who are affected can learn about the details of the draft PAD-RPA and express observations and complaints directly to the designated municipal officers, by post, or on the perspective.brussels website.
In the municipal offices, you can inspect the following documents: the draft Territorial Development Plan (PAD-RPA); the Decree of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region approving the draft PAD-RPA; and the Environmental Impact Assessment (Environmental Impact Report and Non-Technical Summary).
Following the public consultation, comments, observations and views will be forwarded to the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region, which will seek the opinion of the Regional Development Commission. Amendments may be made with a view to a second reading of the draft Plan. After this, the Government will seek the opinion of the Council of State and, in the light of its conclusions, will definitively adopt the PAD-RPA.
