MERKEN CUMBIA FESTIVAL 2 EDITION

THE MERKEN CUMBIA FESTIVAL is back for its 2nd edition and it promises to be even bigger and better than before. This festival celebrates the vibrant and energetic sounds of cumbia music, one that has since spread throughout Latin America and the world.

The 1 EDITION festival was a huge success, bringing together all nationalities to dance and enjoy the music. We have planned even more exciting performances and activities, with an expanded program of musicians and artists.

Cumbia is a hybrid music and dance genre that has been brought to life by a whole generation of contemporary electro musicians.

AWA KEME KEMO : explores the tropical folklore of the Caribbean coast. 8 musicians from Colombia, Chile, France and Argentina revive the traditional Cumbia and Afro-Colombian rhythms. A trombone, a saxophone and a clarinet to compose a tasty copper section that will be colored by the accordion. Grupo LOS MANDINGAS: is a CUMBIA music group that interprets Cumbias of different Latin American styles (instrumental and sung). This group is composed of four LATINO musicians. Cumbias with the sound of Picolo, Flute, Quena Electric Guitar, Drums and various percussion.
