As part of the Nourrir Ixelles project, the Meet U neighborhood collective invites you to come and share a recuperative brunch and visit the sustainable food initiatives on the Usquare (formerly SeeU) site.

On the program:
11:00am - 1:00pm: Le Brunch Récup' by the MeetU kitchen team
What's on? The Meet U team has set itself the challenge of cooking a brunch almost entirely with unsold food. A delicious, home-cooked meal at no cost! An action designed to encourage reflection on food waste, a real societal issue when you consider that ⅓ of the food produced worldwide is wasted according to the FAO.
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Visit sustainable food initiatives on site.
To fuel the debate and give you some inspiration, we propose, after brunch, to take you on a tour of the sustainable food initiatives present on site:
Come and find out how Le Pédalo works, a cooperative supermarket where customers donate a little of their time, reducing costs while retaining quality products.
Le Panier de Macha, a freego salvage shop distributing unsold produce three times a week to people in need.
Our MeetU collective kitchen garden, a place to meet and share ideas about market gardening in an urban environment.

Nourrir Ixelles is a project led by @Rencontredescontinentsasbl, bringing together a number of associations in the Ixelles area, all concerned with eating well and food insecurity. Its aim is to create links and highlight existing sustainable food initiatives in our beautiful commune.
As part of the Nourrir Bruxelles festival, we're discovering a number of places that organize convivial meals open to all.
