The Urban Development Corporation (sau-msi.brussels), acting on behalf of the Brussels-Capital Region, managed the sale of the Actiris building, with a surface area of 19,000m², located opposite the Stock Exchange, the epicentre of the pedestrian zone.

This building, which previously housed Actiris, the Brussels Regional Employment Office, occupies more than the south-eastern half of the triangular block formed by Boulevard Anspach, Rue Paul Devaux and Rue du Marché aux Poulets, in the heart of the city. It has seven floors above the commercial ground floor.

The procedure adopted for the market placement of this regional building is that of a conditional sale. The SAU-MSI was particularly careful to ensure that it also took into account, in addition to the price, criteria related to the architectural quality, the mix of functions and the animation of the building, given the strategic location of this building.

A little history:

• The SAU-MSI published the specifications for the sale on 19 June 2017.
• Among the 16 applications, it shortlisted 5 potential buyers on October 30, 2017. Three submitted a detailed project by the March 2018 deadline.
• On 14 June 2018, the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region instructed the SAU-MSI to conclude the sale procedure with the consortium : VDD Project Development - Vervoordt r.e. (with Coussée & Goris Architecten).
• In the spring of 2019, the planning application was submitted.
• The planning permission was received at the beginning of 2023.
• In the summer of 2023, the work began with the removal of asbestos.
• The opening of the building is scheduled for the end of 2025.
